Well, Just got a phone call from Audi--it seems like they didn't put the bose speakers in my new 2006 like it was supposed to have--they are going to send me a check to make up the difference with what I paid. not sure if this is a good deal for me or not. guess if I was a real audio person i might have been able to tell!

I didn't check...but I thought at least in 2005.5, you had to get Bose to get satellite radio. I wanted satellite radio mainly. The Bose has good punch but sonically it is NOT audiophile grade and at least right now actually kind of mediocre. Maybe it will break in better - just had the car on the road <8 hours since I got it. Apart from satellite I wouldn't want to have paid a premium for the sound system. The Audi Symphony standard stereo in my 2002 B6 was fine if not quite as powerful. If you got satellite (i.e., Sirius) and didn't get the Bose system....I don't think you are missing that much. I guess options changed in 2006...you could get satellite without signing up for Bose? Use the money to go aftermarket would be my advice. PS - good luck with your new wheels. Hope you enjoy it.

First at the dealership, I noticed that the littlw bose tag was missing!! Then AoA notified me. I am disappointed and will get a refund, but....
