Both of my keys died! Have an appointment at the dealer end of the week but
was wondering how the Audi handled this issue with people who also had defective keys (since this issue came up on this forum a few weeks ago). Did the dealer replace the keys, reprogram them or did they change batteries?

Re: Both of my keys died! Have an appointment at the dealer end of the week but
i also have this problem.. one interesting thing, my chance of getting the key died is bigger when i seem to be really hasty on getting out of the car (turn the engine off and pull the key in split second and go out). however, if i take my time and wait until everything shuts down then pull the key out, the key seems to work fine *knock on wood.. i dont want to jinx it.. hehe*
im not familiar with the reprogramming the keys manually but when my key died, it worked again after i drove the car..
btw, let us know what your dealer do to fix this if you have the chance to ask them

Just go to the dealer.....
I had that happenning too....once it starts, it gets progressively worst.
They will order you a new set of key which should arrive within 3-5 days.
This issue is covered in Audi bulletin 57-05-02 (that's for your service dept. information)
