I've decided to exercise the option to buy the car at lease .

Now, the Lease end manager is telling me that the car HAS to be inspected before I purchase the car, despite the fact that the car will still be under warranty for 6 months after the lease term has ended.

Have any of you guys had similar experience with Audi? Is this even legal?

Are you buying from the dealer or AFS? I bought mine at lease end from a dealer who inspected the car to certify it as a CPO'd vehicle.

Look at the lease agreement. If it's with Audi Finance, it probably clearly states that an inspection is required upon lease termination and purchase.

Also, depending on where you live, the Leasing Co. is selling you a used car and may need a safety inspection before it can be registered by a new owner.
