Hi, I have a check engine light code that I am aware of. It does not affect the performance of my car therefore I am not going to fix it.
I was wondering if I can delete the code so my check engine light goes off. I can erase the codes but it just comes back 2 days later. Is there a way to use VAGCOM to permanently delete that code so my check engine light stays off for that issue?

Have had VCDS for 10 yrs and I'm not aware that you can delete a code that way; anything that is tied into the CEL is regarded by Audi as something that needs looking at relatively soon. I've had an emissions related code for over a year that I've been ignoring; for while; downside of not addressing it is I don't get a "new" CEL to warn me of new codes that may have been recorded - I just do a scan once a month to check for new ones or if I feel drivability is affected.
