Default Cracked seat "pleather" update

A while back I posted the fact that my seat bolster was cracking badly. This is the "plastic leather" part, not the real leather seating surface.

I don't know how it works in the US, but Audi Canada seems to like a lot of pictures. Basically, my dealer sends Audi a pile of pix, and then Audi makes the judgment. In this case, no problem! Audi replaced the entire "seat cover" no charge and with zero hassle. Nice. Hopefully, the cracking issue won't come back. We'll see.

Incidentally, they did the same "picture" thing on my condensation-prone headlight assembly. Although it took a few weeks for them to make up their mind, in the end, they replaced my headlight unit. Free!

Congrats. Sometimes the system works.

Default Believe it's thestandard process, had the seat bottom replaced also due to a crack on the side

Took the car in to Agincourt here in Toronto, service rep snapped a few pictures and sent them off to their regional contact, a day or two later the dealer called me to schedule an appointment.

No hassles either.

I had my leather seat cover replaced under warranty on my A4 with no hassles.

Do you think it's going to crack again?

Default It could

It's on the left side so it's getting the most abuse when you get in and out of the car.

But at any rate, another year on the four year lease and it's going back to the dealer so doesn't really matter
