This has happend twice now on my audi, the crankcase vent tube on the back of the motor near the fire wall becomes loose, and the audi sounds like crap, no check engine light on, only have 36K miles on it and I change the oil every 3K. it is normal for the hose to move a little bit (around 1/8")

Did you hear the sound when the hose is loose?
The Dealership said that is shouldn't move at all.

It took me going to my Audi Dealership three times before they figured out that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. So I took my Audi in to get it replaced this am, so I hope this fixes the problem.
