So it seems i might've broken something in the transmission however there's no dash light or strange noises at all , just tranmission doesn't engage anymore in any gear.

I was in S mode and floored it so it downshifted from about 5th to 3rd or 2nd going maybe 50mph , at that moment a large thump occured and the car has remained in neutral since regardless of what gear i try and select. Engine runs smooth still , no noises from tranmission when its in D or anything but the gear just isnt engaging.

The car has about 50K miles , no prior issues at all.

Any takers on what might've happened ?
