I park far away at the corner and today was no exception. I come back out two hours later and this minivan parked a foot away from my driver side, leaving a good three feet on the other side of it. And sure enough there's a hugh dent on my door and equally painful paint scuff. Odo reads 4022. I didn't think the car would go to the body shop before it got to its first visit to the dealer. I was so pissed (still am) that if there were no people walking around in the parking lot I would've fawked up that minivan with a bat!

The dent can maybe be suction-cupped out, and I am guessing the paint scuff can be buffed out. In the meantime, start carrying a can of spray paint in your car to leave a polite message on the offending vehicle the next time this happens.

I caught a vehicle parked next to mine with some of my paint
still on his door edge.
I took my key and circled it.
...all the way down to the metal, Im sure he got the point.
Same thing though, I was parked SO far away from anyone I thought no a$$hole could ever park out there...

Our cars must me magnetic............!
Everyone wants to park real close to them. Our cars must have a magnetic force field around and without know it people get sucked into this force field and pull up right beside. I wish we could reverse this force field and PUSH them away! That's the answer a force field to repel other cars so no can park near to us. A million $$$$ idea.

Same happened to me last June....
Huge crease in my drivers side door, not even 3,000 on the clock. Thank god I know a guy who does paint work. Only charge me $160 for a $600 job. I think I got a shopping cart. No matter how careful you are the idiots will find your baby!

I HATE that crap... take a can of "Aircraft Paint Remover" and
paint a giant d!ck up the side of the car. A week later he'll think twice about parking too close.

just park in normal spots. parking away from others attracts malicious jerks>
