Dammit! Car wouldn't start this afternoon. Help?

I ran a bunch of errands today -- last minute Thanksgiving shopping, and that sort of thing. Just driving around town, no highway driving.
But I have always been real careful to at least drive the car enough let it get up to operating temperature.
Well when I got home I figured I'd program my Homelink. I twisted the key, and might have just barely gone past the "run" position to "start" -- but not quite enough to start the engine.
When I finished programming the Homelink I went to start the car and it would not start. It's cranking, but won't catch. Sounds like it's flooded. This has happened to me before with carbureted engines, and also once on my B5. With my nDBW B5 I would just hold the gas pedal all the way down and turn the key, and that would reset the fuel injectors so the car would start.
However that process would not work on the B7.
I still had more errands to run so I hopped in my trusty old B5 and used that. But I am kinda pissed.
I let the car sit for about 2 hours and tried it again. Still wouldn't start.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Had to push the car out of the way of a semi! - was horrible. Started about 30 min after letting it sit. No idea what happened

sorry, never heard of that happening...have you tried removing the key and retrying to start the car? I know that with the TSX I had if I tried to start the car real quickly after turning the car off it wouldn't work...something about the immobilizer needing to reset or something...if i gave it a few seconds or removed the key and retried it would start...just something to try

I originally had an older ISO-COM. But it wouldn't work with my newer computer. So I got the Key-USB to work with my newer laptop.
I'm going to see if it works with the newer car.
I also think that it might have something to do wtih the immobilizer.
Thanks for the suggestion!
