I spent arguably too much money and bought the Audi factory roof rack load bars for my 2006 A4 sedan, assuming that Yakima and/or Thule attachments and accessories would fit. Turns out neither Yakima nor Thule even know that the Audi factory bars exist, so they can't tell me what fits. (I know that the new Thule Eschelon bike carriers I bought DON'T fit )

Has anyone mounted any Thule or Yakima stuff on the factory a4 bars? Can you tell me if anything fits off the shelf? Or if you had to get creative, can you share some pictures?

I think the Audi rack is based on the Thule "Aero" bars and there should be little channels in the racks where "T-Bolts" slide in then the attachment is screwed on to the T-Bolt (at least that's how they used to work).

If you can find a store called Racks Unlimited, I found a set of T-bolts there and I think the cost was $1 or less.
