Default exhaust for FWD vs. Quattro

I have an FWD A4 2.0T B7 and it is hard to find the exhaust for it. I am hoping I could use one for Quattro. Does anyone know if this is OK to do and what is the reason why they are different? I assume differential is in the way? Thanks for any input.

The FWD exhausts do not need the clearance that the AWD exhausts need. If you have a decent muffler shop, they should be able to weld whatever exhaust in that you like. You can shop by the look of the can and the exhaust shop should be able to mate up your pipe with the can. Now, if you are speaking of a full turbo back setup that is another story.

Thanks, I wanted a catback exhaust from Stasis. They have it on sale but for Quattro only. I wasn't sure if this was doable, and I mean, how much it needs to be modified to fit? I am assuming, from your earlier post, that the path from the turbo down might be different between these two cars.

Correct, I was refering just to axle back setups. A full turbo back would be much different.
