I'm considering taking advantage of E-code's holiday offer and getting my car chipped and installing a test pipe. The one reason I'm hesitant is that unfortunatly I don't have quattro (bought the car used and got a great deal so i didn't have much of a choice). I'm concerned that I'm just going to have excessive wheelspin all the time (and some concerns with the transmission handling the extra HP). Does anyone else have the setup I'm looking at, and if so, what are you thoughts?

Stock you have 207 lb-ft of torque. The CVT is fine.
With a chip you have almost 300 lb-ft of torque. The CVT is undoubtedly more stressed, but might be able to manage if you don't stomp on it all-day every-day.
With a test pipe you are talking a claimed 340+lb-ft of torque. That could mean one seriously expensive transmission repair bill.
