Gun-Metal or Hyper Silver colored rims on my black car with unpainted door blades and chrome mirrors

Trying to decide on what color rims to get if and when I decide to get rims (probably RS4 reps or RS6 reps). I have the chrome mirror housings, chrome around the windows and grille. I also have unpainted S4 door blades, CF splitter.
I was initially thinking of hyper silver because I have all that chrome. Then I was thinking gun metal (especially after seeing the pics in the link below) because of my unpainted door blades, cf splitter and the rear defuser is the unpainted matt color. I have no intention of painting door blades, but hey you never know.
Some pics of my car (which will be lowered by time new rims come along) Thanks

Not a fan of gunmetal on black. Might look ok if it was a TI package car and you were going for a "stealth" look. I'm so glad you posted picks with that CF lip. I have a non-s-line too and was curious how it would look, but couldn't find pics anywhere of a non-s-line with one. It looks F*ckin rad BTW! Is that the Kerscher one? Where'd you get it? TIA

It is the Kerscher one and I got it from James at Creative Autoworks. He is on audizine, do a search for his name or a google search for creative autoworks.
Did you look at the link in my original post of the black s4 with the gunmetal rs4 reps?
And thanks for the compliment, I love the way it looks on the non sline bumper, especially since we don't have the nice sline bumper.
There are pics on both pages of that thread.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=162477&highlight=raistlin">ht tp://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=162477&highlight=raistlin</a</li></ul>

I didn't even see that link the first time. that does look good, but he's got the "black optics" RS4 grille, a black filler plate, and smoked bumper reflectors... I just love how silver wheels "pop" on a black car (especially when you have chrome accents everywhere). I even like how silver wheels look on ALL black (TI package) cars because the headlights and Audi rings will always be silver. Here, I did a Ghetto P-shop of your car with painted reflectors and a filler plate. looks purdy (I vote painted door blades too for a super clean look)

believe me I have thought many times about getting the filler plate. I also agree about the silver rims, but was starting to think gunmetal would be a nice alternative also.
I think either way I go would be great. As for painting door blades, I could see that being much more money that it is really worth. I have heard some people having to pay $400 or more to have them painted.

I'm in Washington, and front plates are required, but probably 1/3 of the new cars I see don't have front plates (or even a holder for one). My car came with one, but I promptly removed it. The tint limit here is 35%, but I've got 15% on mine (and on my last 2 cars) and have had no issues with the fuzz. Guess they just don't really care here.

I'm in WA as well, and I have a front filler plate. When I bought my car (new, Barrier Audi), I said "hey, can I get one of those filler plates?" and the salesman just gave me one. Never had a license plate on the front.
Since then I've had two conversations with law enforcement - one for a stop, and the other went like this: "hey, is that a 2.0T Avant? I have a question for you... how did you debadge it?" (seriously, in the airport I had an officer follow me and then ask me all about the car when I got out - it was kind of cool and weird). On both occasions, they never mentioned the plate.

I guess the good thing is we went three years with no front plate on that truck. But my front windows were not tinted so I didn't care.
I definately would not want no front plate with my tinted front windows in my area on my A4.

but your car is dolphin so the color match is close to gunmetal anyway with some pearl in it.
Very cool idea with polishing the lip like that.
