Are there e-codes or light bulbs that are just plain brighter? I could care less if it "looks" like HID's or not. I just want longer beams of light on the road

on my B6, bixenon housings were ~$500...toss in bulbs and ballasts, and maybe you're looking at a total of $800 to $1000. Where does the other grand come from?

when i had my ultrasport, I paid $500 for the S4 Bixenon ecodes...i already had factory xenons so my bulbs and ballasts carried over...those shouldn't cost more than a few hundred though...total parts costs should be no more than a grand I would think...I could be wrong though, and maybe the B7 housings are far more money...ballasts and bulbs alone should cost no more than $400

Apparently, you can get around it by using b7 s4 lights?? However, are there any bulbs that are just plain brighter that people have used??

I think most Halogen guys are looking for an good/easy upgrade -- something like the Sylvania Silverstars. But installation still seems to be a PITA.
