A4 2.0T Quattro with 49K - haven't had any problems since I bought then one day it wouldn't start. I turn the key and it doesn't turn-over at all - no noise whatsoever. To give you some more background info, it is cold and has been snowing in my area lately. I tried to jump it and also performed a discharge by touching the negative and positive cables together. Still didn't start - I ended up just killing my key fob by doing that.
I ended up having to call Audi Roadside to tow it to my dealership. I was told by my service advisor that the tech "hand cranked" the starter (what does that even mean?) and it started for him. They kept the car for two more days to make sure it would start normally with the key and it did. So, basically they couldn't find the problem as to why it wouldn't start for me that one day and returned the car to me after resetting the key fob.
Has anybody heard of this problem before? Because now I'm worried every time I start my car that this will happen again. Thanks for your help.
