Default Has anyone changed the exhaust tips?

Maybe something a little larger and easier to clean? My tips are always BLACK! Why? My old A4 was not like this. FSI?

Default I don't know about changing them, but for cleaning......

I know what you mean, and honestly, I don't know why my B7 tips are always much "sootier" than my B6 tips were.

I finally tackled the problem a few months ago.

I used a multitude of different products (with different results) to get the baked on gook off them.

I got so desperate that I even (yeah..I know...I know....) used oven cleaner and a scrubby pad on them. Like said...I was desperate. I've seen no harm from what I did, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

After I'd removed a sizable amount of the crap off them, I just continually polished them with Eagle One's Never Dull (the wadding).

They now look great for about a week at a time.

Once I got all the gook off after nearly a years build-up, it only takes me a minute or two to touch up the tips with the Never Dull and they look fantastic.

Default well, the larger you get, less space between the cutout of the bumper and the tip but

most have gone to Vibrant 1304 or 1303 tips. Do a search for some pictures of them
