Has the wheel package changed for '08.......

Sport tires have more grip but will wear out faster than AS
If it snows where you live get an extra set of winter tires. Depends on your driving style - for most driving all seasons are adequate. If you want quicker response on turn in get the sport tires

Depends on your needs and priorities
In most cases, no. If you live someplace that it almost never snows, straight summer tires would be the ticket. If you live someplace that gets a fair amount of snow then summer tires and snow tires are the best bet. If you get a little snow each year and will need to drive in it, then all seasons may suffice if you don't mind the performance hit that you would take with them.
There is a saying about all season tires, they perform equally poorly under all weather conditions. Generally they will not grip as well in the dry or wet as a good summer tire because the rubber compound must be versatile enough to handle the cold and snow and the tread pattern needs to have lots of small blocks (which aren't as stable) to have some grip in the snow. Also most are not nearly as resistant to hydro planing because they aren't able to make flushing water out a primary goal as many summer tires do. Finally they are not nearly as soft as winter tires and therefor do not grip an snow and ice anywhere as well.
