Help!!! Key Help

My car key is not signaling with my car.For instance, the unlock, lock, and trunk opener do not work. I can only open my car or lock it with my actual key and not the remote.

All help is appreciated. Thanks.

How old is the remote? Remote battery? Any range problems before this?

the remote is probably around 7 months old...and only once has this happened but it worked right after
