How do I turn off the CEL? after coil replacement?
I had an ignition coil go out, #3 cylinder. 57,000 miles on the 06, so I guess that isn't so bad compared to some.
All fixed and running well now, but....
How do I get the CEL to go off without taking it to the shop? Autozone and Advance will scan it and only turn the lights out if you bought the parts from them, I got the parts at the Audi dealer.
Can I disconnect the battery or will this not work?
Thanks

disconnecting the battery wont work. your local auto parts store should delete it for you. I'm pretty sure if you just talk to them they can do you the favor. If not find a local mechanic in your area they'll do it as well.

I disconnected the battery before I got a reply, figured it couldn't hurt.
Well I shouldn't have done it. Had to reset everything, clock, radio, windows, ESP didn't work for a while.
Searched and couldn't find how to reset the throttle position.
Today found out that my remote door locks and alarm doesn't work. I don't know how to reset this.
The CEL did go out though
