how does heat and humidity affect 2.0t engine?
For the past 2 days (or maybe 3) It's been hot as hell in Toronto (not that I mind it more than the winters) and its been very humid. It maybe just cause I wore sandals these days that I dont hit the gas pedal hard enough but it seems that the car's a bit sluggish..
Is it just my paranoia or does the weather affect the performance?

Heat and Humidity Slow down all cars
In the winter there is more cool dense air,
better a\f mixture
Summer time, you get less air density, heat soak
on the turbo and intercooler from sitting in traffic, combined with a lower initial compression ratio, (for the turbo)
A turbo compresses air, heat is generated as a result, so if you are compressing hotter air, then, you get less out of it. winter rules
you notice it more with a turbo, then a normally aspirated car, but they are all slower
in the summer

I live in South Florida, and no problems here. But then again, I have yet to drive mine up north, nor will I ever! I got sick of that weather!

Related question about IAT
For those with the means to monitor Intake Air Temp, what do you typically see on a summer day while in traffic and in stop-and-go? Anyone know what the pressure drop is across the stock IC?
With the front-mount IC on my RX-7 I see low 40s celsius on the highway and mid 50s on the road. Unfortunately our IAT is mounted under the manifold and heatsoaks like crazy when the car isn't moving.

maybe its just me but
i feel my car is performing much better now than it did all winter (i live in south eastern PA). gas mileage is up, and i feel like im quicker off the line (completely stock)
