How much $$$ will it cost me to repaint a bumper?

Last night, in an act of stupid confusion and incorrect determination I hit a metal garbage container with my rear bumper. It took off a ¼ of a penny sized chip of paint and left some green paint on top (which can be buffed out). I'm not sure if the paint chip can be repainted or they would have to repaint the whole bumper.
In the worst case scenario that I do need to have the whole bumper repainted, how much am I looking at?

Hey man, I just had my entire Front bumper re-painted cause of a tiny rock chip that caused the paint to start peeling down to the rubber and continued to peel everytime it rained and I washed my car. Frustrating, I know, but I only ended up paying $375 total for the re-paint and in less than 3 days it was as good as new. It all depends on where you go obviously but I'd def. recommend getting it re-sprayed unless you want the paint to start peeling further and looking terrible like mine did.

So they can fix it, including a repaint of the bumper and clear coat. I went to 2 places (both authorized Audi shops and recommended by the dealers): one wanted $550 and said they would heat up the bumper and `massage' it...whatever that means; they handle all of the dealership's Porsche bodywork.
The other place cost $420 and they were going to put compound and then repaint the bumper. They fix not only cars from the Audi dealership, but also handle all of the Ferrari's and Maserati's from another Ferrari dealer.
