Therefore, I can only conclude that the 6HP19A does not actually exist as a seperate distict transmission. I think that the 6HP19A is most likely a derated version of the 6HP26A.

and upgrading the 19A to withstand higher input torque may only require a parts substitution.
I am sure the S4/RS4 does not use the 6HP"19"A version of the 6 speed trans, and the physical appearance of the trans used would be indistinguishable from the outside.

For example, the difference between the 19A and the listed 26A may only be the torque rating of the torque converter clutch used. Speculative, I know, but that would not be inconsistent with industry practice. The service factors used to calculate the ratings, are very conservative usually. I would think that the complete re engineering/production of a totally different transmission would be unlikely, and not economically justified.
