Yes, that makes sense. The same nomenclature used with other ZF products.

Default Sad but true...

I like to think of it as an RS4 with A4 body, interior, and engine. Well not really but... I love it either way.

Does the B7 Tip get goofy like the B6's with extra power? Seems to be the big complaint...

Default I don't know for sure, but if the ECU/TCU torque demand coordination is as poorly ...

calibrated by the remapped ECU software as is the case with the B6, then I would think the same issues would exist. In my experience, this complaint was only relevant when in D, when pushed beyond typical torque demand levels. In tip mode, it wasn't an issue, and in Sport mode, the mismatched shift points are practically non existent.
