I've had my DirectPort for about 4 or 5 weeks now. I recently noticed a loud whoosh/whistling sound at heavy throttle. It gets louder as i go. Even before hearing it I thought that I felt less power suddenly. I was told my Diverter Valve could be stuck open (or not functioning properly).

Has anyone with APR programming had this happen yet??

I was also told that a HX compact valve would help manage the extra boost from the chip. Anyone have one installed on a 2.0T??? Does it help? Does it screw with the ECM? the dv is built into the turbo and it electrically operated. Can't use a regular DV.

can you clarify this? the hyperboost DVs wont work?

Correct - old style DV's won't work on the 2.0T

So does anyone know what the whining noise is? It was not there for the first month after they flashed it...Could I be losing boost?

options other than to replace it with an OEM part? Or do you think a new type of DV for the B7 will be created by aftermarket companies?
