Since you have a 2006, get the freebie at 5K...then every +10K intervals
i.e., 15K, 25K, 35K, etc using synthetic oil
Personally, change your oil every 5K. They pay one, you pay the other. Excessive, maybe. Keeps me and my little engine-that-can happy

I am absolutely astonished at these recommended intervals. I have 2400 miles on my `06 and have never gone this long on the first change in a new car. 10K between changes? How is this possible?

The marvel of modern technology.
Synthetics last longer than traditional dino oil. Also, many of us do an in-between oil change in the middle of the 10k interval.
