Okay so as I originally posted about a month ago, I had my heart set on a red/black A4 2.0T with Premium/Sport/Lighting/Cold. Unfortunatly no one in town had one and my dealer wasn't able to locate one in the region with a dealer that would trade with them. Nothing was really inbound or slated for arrival within the next month either... being that my GTI was being purchased within the month, I went ahead and bought a Silver/Platinum one with everything I wanted except Cold Weather. Silver was the only color available that had the options I wanted. Anyone that knows me or my history of cars knows that Silver is my least favorite color but I was just going to have to deal with it. Over the past two weeks after taking delivery of the Silver one, it really started to grow on me, but yet, I kept wishing it was what I really wanted... Red!
Fast forward to Wednesday when I get a call from my salesperson at the finest Audi dealer in the nation saying that one of the other dealers in town had to liquidate inventory due to issues with their bank and that my dealer had just secured one of their A4s for their inventory... As luck would have it, it was Red/Black/6spd/Quattro/Cold/Premium/Lighting/Sport/Bose... exactly what I wanted. I thought long and hard about it, and worked long and hard with the dealership about the choice I had made previously and that I wanted this car. Long story short, the owner of the dealership and GM worked with me to get me this Red A4 with $0 extra out of pocket and without taking a hit on the old one. Don't ask about how, because it gets all sorts of complicated number wise but it worked out to be a wash, with the only difference in payment being the difference in price of the additional options this one had vs. the Silver. So today I traded in the Silver B7 for the Red one, and also delivered my GTI to the new owner who is currently enjoying the car and en route to its new home in Arizona....
More pics later but, I'm sooooooooooooooooo happy with this decision!

And the proud new owner of my GTI a couple of minutes before making the last drive it ever made down my street...shes in good hands and on her way to Arizona as I type this!

Seems like red is more popular on the B7 than it was on the B6. I still wish they offered Amulet Red in the U.S., though. Congratulations.

on the rear. Is that supposed to be underneath the "0" and the "T" ?
If I remember it correctly, the quattro badge has always been beneath the "1.8" or the number of the engine displacement.
