Default Installed Hawk Ceramic Brake pads on my 2006 B7 10 days ago.

I bought the pads from Tire Rack. They provided the best price I could find, the shipping was prompt, and the parts for both front and rear were correct. The front pads come with sensors and the correct connectors.

After install, I followed Hawk's bedding in procedure and am extremely satisfied with the results. The peddle feel is very good and slightly more sensitive, as if the coefficient of friction for the new pads is somewhat higher than the OEM pads. The brakes produce no noticeable noise. It's been about a week since a wash and there is an almost invisible coating of grey brake dust on my hyper silver wheels.

Did you use up your OEM pad?
Are you using OEM brake rotor?

Thinking of getting the same pads when the time comes. Do you have the model number of the pads?

Default Sorry. I don't have the numbers since I threw out the boxes.

Tire Rack doesn't list the numbers but did send me the correct parts based on the information I entered into their web site. I also spoke with Hawk technical support and they can provide the numbers.

Default At 35,000 miles my OEM pads were 3/4's gone. I used the OEM rotors...

and resurfaced them with 180 sandpaper to remove the old pad film deposits prior to installing the new Hawk Ceramics.

Default Thanks for the info

replacing pads is on my to-do list. This is my 3rd Audi, and currently only have 700 miles but enough is enough in regards to the brake dust!!
