Default Jetta GLI vs A4 2.0T Quattro

I've driven both of these cars and each has pieces and parts that I like. I have owned a 2001 TT 225 quattro coupe so I know the value of Quattro, but I'm in love with DSG and flabergasted why Audi doesn't offer DSG on an A4 2.0T or 3.2. Any plans to offer DSG on an A4?

I'm also concerned that Audi will drop maintenance starting with '07 model year. Perhaps the Jetta GLI will have 4Motion next year and my dream car will be complete.

DSG is expected to be added to next version of A4 (2007/08).

Supposedly no room for the DSG on a logitudinally mounted engine with the current design -> no A4

The A3 3.2 has DSG + quattro. Not as big as the A4, but bigger than a TT...

But the A3 is a transverse mount, isn't it?

So is the TT, so the quattro is the same as his outgoing car

Yes, it uses the Haldex quattro system.

Default Saw a new GLI the other day... "4x4" Ruinned everything.

This problem is out of control at VW/Audi. So much for a stock sport package.

The A3 3.2 Q is about 7 grand more than a GLI. I haven't driven an A3, but I like the styling of the GLI much more.

Default Unfortunatley it's closer to $10k difference, and the A3 styling is... well... different...

I agree the GLI ($23,790)does look nicer than the A3 ($34,700) but the A3 does offer AWD, the DSG that you mentioned you like, and 50 more horsepower.
