Guys,
I just bought a preowned 2005.5 a4 avant 2.0T, automatic. It's amazing--but I noticed a slight hesitation on up and down shift between 1st and 2nd gear. My dealer told me that it may be programming related and to see if I notice it in sport mode. It is obviously under warranty as it has less than 10k miles. How should I deal with this issue? Has anyone else noticed this?
Thanks

My car hesitates sometimes down shifting. It's like it takes a second for the computer to realize what i want to do.
happens only sometimes though. perks of an automatic i guess

I think this is just a characteristic of Audi transmission that isn't automatic specific. I have 6-MT with 2.0T and I noticed a hesitation (rare but still happens) between 1st and 2nd. It occurs mostly starting from stand-still on a hill for me. I've gotten used to it and doesn't really bother me. I don't think there is a problem to be honest. But if you really need to address it, first have the dealer take a look at the issue more in-depth. If they continue to say that it's a programming issue maybe getting a APR chip might cure it, but you probably want to talk to the chip users for more info (or talk to APR directly).
