my car went into limp mode twice on the highway!!!

Original brake light switch is very sensitive
I had a problem where the brake light switch would get stuck on, causing my brake lights to come on at night. I did have fuel cut a few times on the highway before I had it replaced, and it hasn't happened since.

that would be irrelevant because
you cant brake boost in our cars. which means that my throttle would be 100% off until the brakes are removed. my case was that for a short period of time i was only maxing out 3 pounds. i could slow down or speed up but only max 3psi. once the brakes are engaged the gas shuts off...ive tried brake boosting many times and it cant be done with out alteration..

I find it odd....
A year ago there was no fuel cut problem. And now it' seems that it's everyone's problem.
A friend of mine recently had the ECU flash recall done on his GIAC'd A4. He then got his car Re-Flashed with GIAC and he swears his car is WAY faster than before. In fact, following the reflash he blew his DV and PCV within a few days of each other. Then, two weeks later he had to replace his spark plugs at 14k miles- they were cooked. The dealer had never seen anything like it. I believe it was a lean condition... (Not catastrophic, but defiantly hot enough to destroy the plugs.)
Could it be that the chip tuners have upped the performance/reduced the safety factors of their products with the updated code?

Nah, it was definitely a problem 2 years ago bc I was involved in the process...
of helping to tune around the first testpipes on the 2.0t and the first one to buy a milltek HFC for the B7 A4. So it's definitely always been an issue but many cars just won't be affected by it as the tuners are doing their best to tune around these limitations. The car will not run lean bc of the fuel pump not meeting demand. This you dont need to worry about. If anything you will see alot more fouled spark plugs then ever seeing ones melted. If the problem is simply fuel cut the vehicle will cut power as it senses low fuel pressure. THis is why people can feel the fuel cut bc the car is cutting power for safety. If it would just run lean you would likely never even feel a problem until the car went bang.

I had limp mode problems with my chip...
I still don't know what exactly happened. I was good for 30K miles, then a few months after the ECU update from Audi and a re-chipping with the "update" I had limp mode problems, Got a turbo changed out, then ultimately had the chip removed and flashed back to stock due to 2 check engine and ECU lights. That's why, sheesh.
It seems like my tuner may have flashed the old chip without the update onto the ECU and thrown everything off. Too bad that after a turbo replacement that I got off with, I don't really want to take any chances on the 7 months left with my lease and re-chip it again.
