For those of you that had helped me with my prior navigation question I appreciate it. You were right in that the wire had lost connection from the actual unit to the antenna.
Anyways, I was playing around with the navigation for the first time and tried to locate a business. I had the city in "Dallas" then chose special destination then restaurants. Well it appears I could only search restaraunts by scrolling. After a solid minute of still being in the "A's" I gave up. can you type special destinations by their name? Any quicker way to locate a business by name, if you don't know the address?
Thanks

German world class nav system = 2nd class customer interface system. Despite what others may claim, the nav system is just not easy and intuitive.
There's a reason for the legal warning screen--don't try to drive and do anything with the nav at the same time. Too many clicks on too many buttons requiring too much eye commitment.

accurate most of the time it got confused on Laurel Canyon and led me on a wild goose chase and big loop through a one lane hillside community and back down to Laurel... Really wierd... Happens sometimes... To answer your question, I don't think you can enter the name of a business/restaurant... All you have is what's in the data base...
