Default Need help with Sirius module

I am trying to add Sirius radio to my 08 A4 and have a question about the modules. What is the differences between the "L', 'H', 'D', 'M',... lettering after the model number (the model number is the same for the Sat Radio Module just the last letter differs)? I was told by the dealership I needed a 'L' module but those are hard to come by. Can I use a module with a different letter? Thanks.

Default Different cars require different modules.... check out the chart attached.

It's included in this write up.

If you have a single antenna set up and find a dual antenna module there is a splitter you can buy. I'm using one in my car like the one in this write up ....it works great.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec171.shtml</a

Default Thanks for the link. My next question is what is the difference between the

'L' and 'H' designation? Both are UA/Canada and single arm. There seems to be more 'H' modules out there.

Default Age

I think the older the module is, the later the letter. Also, remember that Audi/VW uses these tuners in other (and newer) model cars as well (passats, jettas, ect) so some of the upgrades might not be applicable to the A4. I put a H module into my 2008 A4, everything worked great. Total plug and play. Just don't forget to change the Can-bus plug in the right (passenger) side door well if no sat. previously installed.

Since I have nav, I sourced the Navplus.us web site for my info. This is where I got my information. The nice thing is that units are backward-compatable.
