Default It would have been Kewl if they replace the turbo inlet hose with the Silicon hose...

The so-called "Stock Wafle inlet hose" that goes to the turbo inlet will benefit from the silicon hose for the flow. Not to mention that it sometimes cracks over the time. I have not tested on A4 B7 but it was substantially evident on STI. The silicon inlet hose resulted 6% more air flow.

Also, the Mike aka "bhvrdr"'s log did show the gain on air flow which will reduce the turbo lag. So, I would think that it will shift the boost curve to the left (it will achieve the target boost earlier than stock). However, his other data also indicated that the boost curve did not change. Which is also an indication of minimal to no gain unless there were significant temp change (Reduce in temperature of the air entering the cylinder : Which I doubt it will make that much of difference in the IC efficiency....) I would think that program should be revised to take advantage of the added flow..... (Suggesting to increase a target boost on the program to match the added air flow available, of course assuming that the IC is still efficient and can support the added boost)...

Either way, it should not hurt but price is the factor that is holding me to try one...

Just my 2 cents.

Dan from PA.

I agree...it looks cool but too expensive for no gains or very little gains (if any)
