I recently had my passenger floor flooded - according to the dealer its a cracked pollen filter housing and will cost $705 on top of 8 hours labor to find it ($795+). They also note leaking valve cover gaskets ($273 parts and labor) and leaking engine mounts ($1400). Are these prices normal? Seems to me a gasket is $20 and a hour of labor. I gave the go ahead for the water issue since I already paid an NYC place $400 to fix the flooding a week and it was not fixed.

Are there any good places in North Jersey where I can take my car rather than get looted by dealerships?
