Afretes (brand specialist from Audi) brought out a Q7 4.2 to a meet and a few of us test drove it. It does feel heavy as it is a SUV but that engine sound was gorgeous, nice sound at low RPM and a nice mechanical whine at higher RPM. Interior is top notch of course.

Our Touareg is in the shop for some warranty work and they gave us a Cayman loaner which has been a lot of fun. We've had it almost a week now.
It helps to be on good terms with the service writers - they have ways of making things happen (I didn't even ask for the Cayman).
If they have a Q7 in their loaner fleet they may just let you take it.

I took my car in for its 5k service on a Saturday. I had my wife and two kids with me and asked for a shuttle to the Mall or something. My service guy said he was sorry, but didn't have Saturday shuttle service. So he did the next best thing; he gave my an A6 with 27 miles on it to drive around. =)
By the way, I was lucky enough to drive a Q7 last May. Very impressive for an SUV. The interior is awesome and sound of the motor is something special.
