Please help with Icelink install on Symphony II Non NAV

I just bought the Ice Link Plus kit for the Audi at Best Buy. I've hooked it up to the cd change port like the instructions said, but the in dash 6 cd player is still working, I thought it would be taken over by the Ipod? In any case, since it's sti still working, how does the IPOD get activated?

The Symphony II head unit's internal CD changer will continue to work, the IceLink emulates an external CD changer which gets activated/selected when you press the CD button a second time.
