I am looking for a reputable repair/maintenance shop (non-dealer)in the Portland, ME area. I have a B7 A4 2.0T that needs some diagnosis and a bit of service. Any recommendations?

I know of a few, but unfortunately they are north of Portland (Auburn, Benton, Palmyra, etc). I will check with my Audi/VW friends in the Portland area and see what they say.

Also, another place that I've heard great things about is Ayer European Auto in Gardiner. My friend took her Passat there for all maintenance and said they were very good. But, again, it's Gardiner, not Portland.
Still waiting to hear from some Portland friends...

There is the shop Autowerkes Maine Inc. on Route 1 in Freeport, ME. They do extensive Audi work and are the only independent shop in Maine with a "Factory" VAS 5052A diagnostic tool. This means they are equipped to even deal with immobilizer and other programming issues.
