REVO vs. GIAC input needed....

You can sell the SPS units. All the coding is already in the flash, the SPS just changes certain
parameters.
New owner has to pay $500 for the flash. Can buy the SPS used. Also, if you have multiple cars, one SPS can be used on them all. IIRC SPS1 which has stock & perf is $150, $250 gets you 91, 93, Stock, Kill and 100. Then SPS3 gets you 10 settings of boost, 10 settings of timing, fueling adjustment and everything else SPS2 gives you . . . . they also have a new SPS controller that hooks up to your PC and can save "modes". Haven't really read up on it but it kinda reminds me of the GIAC flashloader.
Whereas APR charges $600 for the flash, $150 for the first program, then +$100 or so for each additional.

I gotcha, basically you are recouping the money you would have spent on additional programs...
from apr like the added 100oct program or stock program if you went with those. Thanks. cheers! Mike

proof . . .
SPS devices. They are in another shipment so they will not be out to dealers in the next few days but they will follow shortly. All switching is enabled in the software so you won't have to go back to get your chip upgraded to be able to switch back to stock or between octane modes. The physical SPS device can just be shipped from your dealer to you or picked up and you are ready to go.
SPS 1 switches between stock and performance and costs 199
SPS 2 switches between stock, and 3 performance modes, 91 octane, 93 octane and 100 octane. There is also an added feature that can disable the vehicle. Even if someone has the key to your car until this is switched off the car cannot start. This level costs 269.
SPS 3 is the top of the line. This device allows you to switch between stock and performance. When in performance mode you can switch between 10 boost settings and 10 timing settings. There is also fuel adjustment which will be activated for the first time on an REVO turbocharged software, before it was only for Porsche and NA applications, that will allow you to adjust the AF leaner or richer. I believe this feature for the timing being is supposed to be left at the defaults. There is also the anti-theft featuer of the SPS 2 and you can turn all the boost and timing adjustments to 0 which becomes a valet mode that will limit power. The SPS 3 retails for 349.
For those of you with SPS devices from previous cars unfortunately they will not be compatible with the new cars. This was actually most of the delay in release of the software, waiting for new hardware to be manufactured. The new SPS devices will work with both old and new vehicles so if you have two cars with REVO software there is no need to keep both devices.
The SPS device also works on more then one vehicle, making the value of this product greater then any other on the market. You get more features for your dollars and its interchangeable.

http://forums.fourtitude.com/zerothread?id=2309504</a

Re: proof . . .
sorry I don't get one thing. Do they load all the software for all programs and then you switch with the unit or do you have to buy all the different software programs (ex. stock, 91, 93 ect.) seperatly? Does anyone know if any of these places will give you a stage 1 demo to drive around with for a couple days? thanks.

Still do not "believe" it.
It may be my interpretation. Lets say that I have A3 2.0T and A4 2.0T. Can I just buy one program - $500 plus SPS - $200 and chip my two cars?
Or does the SPS allow me to chip one, and then I have to turn it back to stock to chip the other?
I hope it is the former, because if it is the latter... "you can borrow my SPS for $100!" (well, not mine but someone will do it.)

No . . . . I said the SPS does not contain the flash in there . . .
The SPS merely switches modes in the flashed ECU . . . doesn't store any settings or whatnot.
Hence if you had two vehicles, you'd have to buy two flashes, but could get away with only one SPS.
