Default Yea I think it may be a typo? Or else the 10mm ones haven't actually

hit the street or AW yet because even the more recent cars on here with the sport suspension look the same as 2005.5's

Default Might be 10mm now. This is for the side impact standards.

The new Golf GTI had to raise its suspension (compared to the Euro spec) for NA markets for this reason.

Previously, cars that rode lower in Europe and higher here, the reasoning behind this, according to VW if I recall, was because of the road here being worse compared to Europe ... supposively.

I doubt it's related to side impact standards. If it was, then the S4 which sits at 20mm lower, would not be compliant also for side impact standards.

Default Could be. But that was the reason VW raised the GTI for NA - side impact regs.

And to get that 5 star side impact crash rating. I read this on Vortex a couple of months ago.

I was thinking the same but didn't the 20mm lowered cars already pass the tests?
