stating the the lessor (Audi Finance in this case?) has the right to terminate the lease at any point for whatever reason. That makes a hugh difference in whether you have the upper hand in the negotiation. I wouldn't be surprised if there is such a clause.

presumably, this option is only available to them and not to me. great clause... if we screw up we reserve the right to back out within 10 days.

I think we both know the answer to that one. As you said, in business if I were to make a mistake for a client I'd eat it. They should do the same.

I just had a very similar thing occur to me. I picked up my '07 A4 Avant S-line Titanium package manual last week. They screwed up and asked me to pay for their mistake.
I want to tell everyone never to go there again. But I'm trying to contain my anger

sorry, never leased a car, so not understanding why there would be an assignment. do you sign the lease with someone else as agent and then it's assumed by audi finance?

you should consider the same thing. my car is similar- a4 avant, s-line, titanium, nav, convenience, bluetooth. if it turns out to be the same dealer then this is a disturbing trend and we both should try and warn potential customers of.
buyers can only beware if they are first aware.
i will be posting to a number of major web boards on this if they i walk out of there spending another $600 after we agreed on a deal and SIGNED it!

If you have a signed contract, the dealer should eat it. I can't believe they are jerking you around over this.
However, if there is a clause in the contract giving the assignee the right to approve (the assignee is the finance company) then you are out of luck. Whether they would go that far is the question. That's a business decision; if they decide against you, they clearly do not want your business and you should tell them as much.
