Other end of Mass Pike... Seattle.
I am willing to give a $100 refund to a customer that buys and then dynoes a 3.2 setup. For pre and post dyno pictures - they get $100. 3.2 only, as I have the 2.0T ones now.

Not exactly.

Exhaust on the B7 has 3 parts:
Cat/Downpipe
Flex pipe (I am calling it that as it contains the braided flex joint) - pictured.
And then the rest of the exhaust.
Vibrant does not include the flex pipe, and I am pretty sure there is no need for it. If you look at the pictures I posted in the write up OEM exhaust has nasty crimps in it, and is restrictive. The OEM flex pipe is actually pretty well made and properly sized. I would be suprised if any gains came from replacing this flex pipe with a bigger one, keeping in mind that on the inlet size it has to be the OEM diamater to mount to the OEM cat anyway!

It's 4 sections....
1. cat or testpipe
2. downpipe with flex
3. center section with or w/o resonators
4. twin tails with mufflers
Or you could break it up this way since no one orders just the tails...
1. cat or testpipe
2. downpipe (not all exhaust include them, but those that do refer to them as a turbo back exhaust but really a catback is more appropriate)
3. center and tail section (known as catback system but really a downpipe back exhaust).
cheers! Mike

that added horsepower is from the testpipe not the downpipe. The testpipe...
is a cat delete pipe. The downpipe is a pipe that connects to the cat or testpipe and mates to the rest of the exhaust. Gains will be much larger on a non chipped car than a chipped car when adding a testpipe.
cheers! Mike

I agree on description I do not like the naming.
To me a downpipe should include a cat... that is why I bet there is no HP difference in exhaust that do and do not include the "flex pipe or mid-pipe.".
I like the mid pipe name better.
