Looking to come back to Audi.
Mainly, for an AVANT !
Was just going to jump into another S4 Avant MT and wait for the new B8.
But, then I was thinking of just getting an SLine A4 20.t Avant and doing some mods.
Won't be worried about all out 0-60 and 1/4 times, as this wouldn't be a street racer mobile.
It would certainly see some track time probably.
How are the Stasis CS cars ?
I'd love any thoughts on the Modded A4/ stock S4 comparo, as I've been away for a bit and don't know the mod potential of the 2.0T these days.
I wouldn't go as crazy as to do a full Tubro upgrade, so we don't have talk about that.
But, what's best of the best for this new motor ?
modded A4 Avant...... or S4 Avant........Hmmmmm

for my current situation I am diggin' the 2.0T for its fuel economy. Like you I had a B6 A4 as well. The 2.0T feels stronger stock than my 1.8T w/giac. Still waiting for more "fun money" to build up for an ecu flash.
Hope to see you soon in the B7 forums!

Though not Stasis, I have most of what you would want: coilovers, rear sway bar, exhaust and chip (in a 6MT Avant, of course). Makes for a great track car with understeer much reduced. Less weight in front end helps the fun factor. Only thing missing is the marvelous sound from the S4's V8.
Believe Stasis would add a brake upgrade. For occasional track time, [safe] fun on the street with reasonable, even excellent gas mileage, the Stasis should be a great choice. If I were buying right now, it would be on my short list.

They would look almost identical, so that's not really a big consideration. Tail pipes and badges would be about the only differences visually.
You could build your A4 Avant to give a stock S4 Avant a run for it's money (especially in handling) spending less than you might for the S4 Avant. 0-60 the S4 would still be faster, but go with the right K04 set up and you could be as fast or faster.
As far as the stasis cars, I just had their high-bias center diff installed last week, and I think my next upgrade will be their SL Ohlins suspension. My Vogtlands are great, but a little soft for the track.
A chip, exhaust, coilovers, and brakes and you'd have a sweet Avant...
