Default Do you have the aluminum-look plastic? Or the brushed aluminum?

I don't have wood trim to trade. But if you have real aluminum I may be interested in buying from you.

Default It sure looked like plastic shyte. Felt like it, too. That's why I got the wood trim.

The brushed aluminum in the S4 looked like real aluminum. The crap in the A4s, not so much.

Default In the S4 and S-line cars it is brushed alum. In the non-S cars, it is plastic

My 1998 A4 has real alum, and it looks brand new. The plastic crap in the newer cars gets scuffed real easily. The car I am getting is not an S-line car, but I would love to buy the S-line trim, just because it is more durable than the plastic junk.

Default In the US, there is zero "plastic" trim in a B6/B7. If it's metal colored, it's real aluminum.

I'm talking about the North American market, anyway. I can't speak for other markets.

Default my 2005.5 has aluminum.....

it's aluminum sheets (with the dots) wrapped around something (probably plastic) but that's real metal on the outside! i've never seen painted aluminum plastic trim in any Audi until I saw the gauge surround in the new A5, A6, Q7 and A4 B8. I had an '07 A4 loaner a few weeks ago and that was pretty stripped but had the same real alu trim as mine.

Interesting - I had the dark walnut wood on my '06 A4 2.0 but decided to go with the standard aluminum on my '08 A4 2.0. Virtually everyone who rode in the '06 commented that the interior trim looked like palstic and then when I said it was real, asked why anyoone would want real wood that looked fake. I am not sure those comments changed my view, I probably just wanted something different in the '08, but at this point I think it looks better and more "real" or "honest" than the wood. Different strokes I guess.

Default you must not be talking about US spec'd car then....

there's no comparison between the feel (cold metal) and look of the audi trim then say the plastic shyte in an Acura.
