Just bought my car.
It has swirl marks. The dealership told me they were gonna wash it before giving it to me. Thats the only time its been washed.
What should I do?

No dont who cares man if you have a black car youll get over it just get your car sealed every year and not waxed sealed its way better and hides them pretty good lasts about 5-8 months if you use touchless car washes througout that time period. And swirls can only be removed with massive high speed buffers that use a compound to smoothen the clear coat and trust me not worth the money and not worth the headache of going back to the dealer for another car. U can only notice it on awkward angles that you really focus on but other than that no worries enjoy your audi and leave it cause in about 5 months youll get em anyway.

First off, contact the dealer ASAP!! But don't let them buff it!! Chances are, they are paying some incompetent boob to detail cars. If you want more swirls, then let them buff it. I would try to find a reputable detailer to repair the damage and have the dealer pay for it. Chances are you may be able to fix this yourself, with a little advise. I would recommend the site I have listed for you best resource.
Second, these can be repaired by a random orbital polisher, such as the Porter Cable 7424, which is less harsh on your paint and will NOT cause additional swirls. If someone is well trained in using a buffer, I would not hesitate to let them ust it. I all comes down to experience.
Third, don't just "accept it". You paid a premium for a new car, not to mention a premium car!! If you wanted a car in used condition, you would have bought a used car. Do not accept it if it is not perfect!! You work too hard for you money to accept anything less!!

Autopia
