Default Thinking of buying 2006 Audi A4 2.0T

I currently own a 1999 VW Passat V6. It has almost 145k and I bought it with nearly 95k on it. I have had it about 5.5 years. There is really nothing majorly wrong with my car. But I want to get as much for it as I can while it is still running well. I have taken care of it the best care I could with a lot of help from Club B5 aka Passat World. I can't tell you how much their support has helped me. I am not your typical female car owner and I am always looking for ways to keep my car and my money out of the dealerships. I am not afraid to work on my car as long as I have guidance.

I was in the market for an A6, but with gas prices the way they are and the restyling of the 2005.5 A4, I fell in love.

I prefer Quattro, but I am trying not to spend more then $20k before trade in. It seems hard to find something less then $22k unless it has a lot of miles.

Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer in the Somerset County NJ area? I am willing to travel a little if I have to.

Any advice is also appreciated. Like cost of ownership even with warranty. Financing options.....

Thanks

Default Audi of Bernardsville

Ask for Jim Foster. If you get the car without CPO you might be able to come close to your price range.

Thanks for the contact info.

What are the differences between a car that is CPO and not CPO? Can I still get a 6/100k warranty?

sorry but I would differ.
Between myself and a few friends of mine - we have purchased 6 Audis in the past 5 years.
Jack Daniels isn't in Somerset but they surely beat Audi of Bernardsville on every deal.

You def want CPO (certified pre-owned).
Audi aren't cheap to repair....

why don't you just do autotrader.com...enter your zip, max price, the car you want....shows pretty much all used cars in your area from all dealers.

I have been to Audi of Bernardsville. It's an expensive area, so it's no doubt the dealerships will have higher end prices to match. Jack Daniles didn't seem to have anything in my price range in the online inventory. Maybe they make good deals?

I think I do want a CPO. Like you said, Audi is not cheap to repair.

I have been looking on autotrader.com. There didn't seem to be a lot to choose from in my price range, but I'm sure the list changes all the time and hopefully I'll find a good deal.

Thanks

Default you right

......stick to your price and wait if you can.
Playing this game can get you big discounts.
Also try Paul Miller - and make sure to tell them that you are visiting JD.
Those two dealers seem to "hate" each other....or simply steal each other's customers
I got over $5k off of my new 2007 car....and it was back in 2007 (not a left over)

Preowned are tougher....you should be happy to get $1000 off but you can get awesome rate from Audi (as low as 2.9%).

ONE MORE THING - go and visit JD.....they were able to get a used car for my friend from another dealership from NC....so just becasue you don't see it, doesn't mean they can't get it.

If you need refs - I can tell you the name of the manager and give you mine and my friends names so he knowns......but it's not like I am making any money off of them so I don't really care where you buy it.

Default Re: you right

Thanks for the info. I would appreciate it if you can provide the managers name. It's always good to let them know people referred them.

I was thinking of going through my credit union for financing, but at 2.9%, that seems like a great deal.....
