I have a 2008 A4 2.0TQ with Tip on a 3-year lease with 12 months remaining. The mileage on the car now is 19,591. I have the original Pirelli P6 Four Seasons tires that have a UTGG 400 AA wear rating.
When new (per Tire Rack specs) tread depth was 11/32". Today they have 7/32" rear and just a bit over 7/32" on the front, having been rotated at the 5K and 15K service visits.
My question - How much more wear (miles) can I expect on the remaining 7/32" of tread? Having gone 19,591 mile on 4/32", and assuming I continue my modest driving ways, I have calculated they will last until 34,284 miles (or another 14,670 miles) - which would be plenty for my planned driving, I don't want to have to pay for new rubber by lease end. I was wondering if anyone knew "real world" how long the remaining 3/32" would last. I believe Audi's limit if 4/32" (1/8") tread depth at lease turn-in or you get hit for new tires.
