The latest TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results have been posted. These are for the year ending September 30, 2007.
For the 2006 Audi A4, I have an average of 5.6 months of data on 25 cars, the bare minimum for a non-asterisked result. The stat of 26 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.3 per vehicle) is better than average for a 2006 model.
For the 2007 Audi A4, I have an average of 4.4 months of data on 17 cars. The stat of 64 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.6 per vehicle) is about average for a 2007 model. This result is asterisked for an insufficient sample size.
Because of the low sample sizes, these results are probably best understood to together imply a repair rate for both years around 45 repair trips per 100 vehicles, which is a little better than the average and much better than older Audis.
Results will be updated every three months, and it will be interesting to see if this continues to be the case.
Everyone who has been helping out with this research, thanks, I literally couldn't have done it without you. Those who aren't yet helping out, I hope you'll consider doing so. Larger sample sizes would make future results more accurate.
