The latest TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results have been posted. These are for the year ending June 30, 2007. Late responses could lead to further changes, but these are unlikely to be large.
For the 2006 Audi A4, I have an average of 4.1 months of data on 18 cars. The stat of 49 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.5 per vehicle) is a bit better than average for a 2006 model.
For the 2007 Audi A4, I have an average of 3.1 months of data on 15 cars. The stat of 26 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.3 per vehicle) is better than average for a 2007 model.
In both cases the results are asterisked and visible only to panel members because fewer than 25 responses were received. I'm posting them here because this forum and its owner have been so helpful.
Taking both together, though, provides some indication that the latest A4 is more reliable than previous generations, at least so far.
Results will be updated every three months, and it will be interesting to see if this continues to be the case.
Everyone who has been helping out with this research, thanks, I literally couldn't have done it without you. Those who aren't yet helping out, I hope you'll consider doing so. Larger sample sizes would make future results more accurate.
