Trunk Pop Idiot
Well, I thought that it was some new feature that was changed since my B5. I could not get my trunk to pop with the on-door trunk button while the car was running. Then i read the manual and found out that there is a key hole on the trunk lid itself, and there are 2 positions the key hole can be placed. Problem fixed, I can now pop my trunk.
Written just in case someone else was in the same boat.
