Default Turbo timer, Impreza vs. A4...

Guys, i've been thinking about this. I used to drive an Impreza STi couple of years ago, and in the manual they said that it was very important to let the car run for two minutes or so after driving hard or after extended highway use. This was to let the turbo cool down. And the most common mod among Impreza drivers was to install turbo timers who did this automatically.
My A4 has the same engine size and about the same hp and a turbo, how come nobodys talking about turbo cool down and turbo timers on the Audi?

Default I think some people that are chipped have done this but from I've heard...

our turbo's are capable of a lot more boost than what the factory gives us. Basically meaning that it's not being worked hard enough to justify a 2 minute cool down period. Obviously if you track your car or chip, then its highly recommended.

Default there was a post about a cooling system our cars have that will run...

IF needed after the engine is shut off until the turbo has cooled down. It basically runs coolant "backwards" through the system. I don't remember exactly, but it made sense when I read it.

Default Actually my manual for a 2003 A4 with 1.8T suggests doing the same thing.

I bet the B7 manual states the same.

Default The 2006 A4 manual says...

to let your engine run for 2 mins after hard driving or extended driving. I read this last night actually...I don't have the manual in front of me, otherwise I would give you a page number.

Default there is def a cooling system in my B5 2.8, does exactly that

the coolant continues to cycle. I've hear the same from a dealer, but only refering to the older models, talking < '96 didn't know the issue still existed
